How to start to do the listening log? How to choose a topic?
ReplyDeleteWell, my first response is to find something related to business, if you can. However, I'd be happy with a current affairs issue from a news program. This might be easier to find in the podcasts in the Audio Sources section of this blog. Here is a link for What Australian's Think on Radio National - http://www.abc.net.au/rn/australiatalks/index/audio.htm. You can manually download or subscribe. There's something there about the Murray-Darling which is an environmental issue regarding the river dividing NSW and Victoria. Or, even something on international students further down the list. Check it out and let me know if you have any more queries.
ReplyDeleteI've also just put up another Audio Source called Triple J - Hack Podcasts. I'm not sure if you know Triple J but it's a pretty cool radio station - FM105.7. Hack is a program here that discusses interesting relevant issues. They go for half-an-hour but they are worth it. Sometimes it's easier to listen to a longer article because you don't have to get every single word to get the full sense. I hope you enjoy it.
